Altruist Personalized Indexing
Advisors can now personalize portfolios at scale with Altruist Personalized Indexing. This feature makes it possible to tailor portfolios to client preferences, like applying values-based exclusions, while maintaining diversified exposure and operational simplicity.
How it works
- Exclude industries, sectors, or individual securities across an entire portfolio
- Apply values-based screens powered by Smartleaf and MSCI
- See the potential impact of exclusions before assigning portfolios
More ways to transfer money
Funding and payments on Altruist are now faster and more flexible. New banking enhancements make it easier for advisors and clients to link accounts, and send payments directly from the platform.
How it works
- Clients can quickly link bank accounts through streamlined verification
- Send digital checks directly to clients from Altruist
Measure performance with IRR reporting
Advisors can now evaluate performance using internal rate of return (IRR), a metric that reflects the impact of real client cash flows. This complements traditional time-weighted returns and provides a more complete view of portfolio performance.
How it works
- View annualized and cumulative IRR alongside time-weighted return (TWR)
- Measure returns inclusive of contributions and withdrawals
- Compare account performance against benchmarks in advanced analytics
Rebalance portfolios with greater tax and trading control
Advisors now have more control over how portfolios rebalance to their target models, helping manage tax impact while reducing unnecessary trading.
How it works
- Full rebalance: Optimize for tracking accuracy and tax efficiency
- Buy only: Deploy new deposits without selling positions
- Minimum turnover or no realized gains: Limit trades or avoid triggering taxable gains
Crypto rotation model in the model marketplace
Advisors can now access a new crypto rotation model from Advisor123 in the Altruist Model Marketplace. The strategy dynamically adjusts exposure across major digital assets using a systematic approach designed to capture momentum while maintaining full crypto exposure.
How it works
- Rotate exposure across Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Ripple ETFs
- Use monthly momentum and volatility rankings to guide allocations
- Systematically adjust weights to capture changing market conditions

Altruist LLC and its affiliates (together, “Altruist”) and the Model Marketplace model providers do not render investment advice to retail clients, rather Altruist makes available certain model portfolios for independent RIAs’ use in managing their retail investment clients’ assets. RIAs are responsible for suitability of all transactions in and decisions regarding client accounts, and must maintain trading authority over client accounts which are subscribed to Model Marketplace model portfolios.
Certain instructions from model providers who are providing models to the Altruist Model Marketplace may not be executed based on system limitations, including securities that are not available to trade on the Altruist platform and rebalancing instructions that are not supported by the Rebalancer and trades that are below supported minimum trade sizes. Performance of individual accounts assigned to a model portfolio may deviate from the target model performance as a result of a number of factors, including Rebalancer settings, and timing and amount of cash flows and system limitations that impact execution of model provider instructions. Model Marketplace portfolios utilize Altruist’s Rebalancer and may use Altruist’s Tax Management tools. See the Tax Management and Rebalancer disclosure available at altruist.com/legal.
